Hi there

Welcome, reader! I use this space to share my travel, books I'm into, and food. Enjoy your wanderings.

"Hello love, welcome to London."

Hello from London everyone! Landed here verrrry early on Saturday morning, and naturally jet lag hit full force. Having gotten only a couple hours of sleep on the plane however did NOT deter me from exploring the city.

After quickly unpacking and making those initial introductions with my wonderful, sweet, amazing "flatmate" Chloe, we hit the streets for a quick walkabout around our new neighborhood.

We're staying in Bloomsbury around Russell Square Gardens. The NYU Academic Center, which I'll show you later, is close by in Bedford Square. It's a stunning area with The British Museum and University of London just blocks away.

Our whole group immediately found one of our many local pubs to enjoy our first English pint over a game of football. Then my flatmate Tess invited us all along to Camden Crawl that night with some of the locals she already knows!

We even managed to conquer the Tube while half delirious on the first day!  Needless to say,  crashed pretty hard when we got back.

An exciting first day with wonderful new friends. Next up... NYU London and a bus tour around the city. Stay tuned!
