Hi there

Welcome, reader! I use this space to share my travel, books I'm into, and food. Enjoy your wanderings.

This past weekend we celebrated my sister Jordan (The Nugget) coming home, Father's Day, and my last non-working stateside days for a while. Sometimes months go by without seeing my sister, so it's always a treat to be reunited.

Early Saturday morning we walked to Lake Anne for the weekly Reston Farmer's Market. (Sadly Josh's arm strength proved to be too strong for us to pull him from his bed.) 2 photo creds to The Nug.

That evening we had booked tickets for a monument boat ride on the Potomac River to spice things up. So we piled in the car and headed down to Georgetown Waterfront Park.

A very relaxing way to play tourist and take in the iconic monuments at night.

On Sunday Dad escaped to the lake with the kayak and fishing pole. But we all celebrated the holiday with this beaut...

Regardless of the hole, it was still pretty fantastic. Hope you had a wonderful Father's Day weekend with your family!
