"Next Stop, BIG BEN"
So unfortunately I'm not just in London on an extended vacation. I'm taking two fantastic English classes at NYU London with loads of field trips throughout the city including a few Shakespeare productions at the Globe Theatre.
NYU London's Academic Center is located in swanky Bedford Square in the former home of Lord Eldon. I'll have to snag the key to the private garden in the middle and take you on a tour one day.
NYU London is the large white one in the middle.
The Duke of Bedford and his poopy pigeons.
With classrooms as beautiful as these I almost don't mind the fact that there's no air conditioning... almost.
The buildings have those swirly staircases that make you want to slide down the hand railings. Don't worry, I'll fill you in when that happens.
After Orientation we were taken on a bus/walking tour around the city to see some of the major tourist stops. We were led by the very knowledgable Edward...
Tower Bridge
The Gherkin. Or as the French call it, "The Suppository" hehe
St. Paul's Cathedral
Buckingham Palace
Caught ya looking!
Trafalgar Square
London is such a beautiful city, and my list is already growing with all of the places I want to see and explore! It has the same hurried pulse as New York City, but unfortunately London is not alive 24 hours a day.
I'm settling in really well! Look Mom, I've even gone food shopping! That terror in my eyes is over the prices and the fact that I actually have to cook all of this.
Hope I haven't bored you already! Things are really getting fun, I promise! Next up, a late night comedy show that might've gotten a little out of hand... Plus a walk through The Camden Lock Market and The Foundling Museum.
