Temps Like Verano, Tunes Like Primavera - Barcelona, Spain
Besides the obvious delicious food, perfect weather, and lively people, the major pull Barcelona had on us is Primavera Sound music festival. Over a hundred thousand music lovers descend on Barcelona's Parc del Forum every year to let loose to some groovy tunes.
There was really only one person I was dying to see, Miguel. And he did not disappoint.
Over two days we enjoyed some favorites like Solange and Bon Iver, and became new fans for others.
I'll never forget dancing with my two buds to KiNK's set until 5am, then heading to the beach for the sunrise.
When we weren't shaking our fannies, we spent our time exploring the city.
One day we picked up some fruit, meats, and cheeses from La Boqueria before making the trek to the top of MontjuΓ―c for a picnic.
We wanted to take the cable car back down, but due to a long line we meandered down through the cactus garden.
The view from our Airbnb in El Born:
All good explorers need a quick nap before feasting on a pan of paella.
Another day we visited Tibidabo Mountain to check out the little amusement park and some city views.
Riding up on the funicular:
We didn't pay to get into the whole amusement park, but we did take a spin on the ferris wheel.
Squeezing in an early evening apertif at the base of the mountain...
before a tour of GaudΓ'sPark GΓΌell.
And that's a wrap! Thanks for being good to us, Spain.
