Jan 2 Forever Friends Reunited - New York, NY

You might remember my trip to Austin from fall 2015 where I paid a visit to my oldest friend, Kelsey. Well this time she decided to come to me!

To say she's my oldest friend is an understatement...

After a year apart, I was excited to have her all to myself for the weekend.

A visit to Central Park and the Neue Galerie kicked things off (sadly no photos are allowed inside the stunning German and Austrian art museum, but do not miss out on this NYC gem).

Kelsey hadn't been to New York since we were both in middle school, so there's a lot to cram in. We both prepared lists, and started with the High Line.

As this walk gets super crowded, super quickly - we had an early morning stroll above Chelsea.

We detoured to Chelsea Market for a bit of shopping and a lot of feasting.

And continued through the quintessential West Village.

Charming cobblestones, hailing a cab... we've got some work to do.

Prepare yourself for some house envy.

That skinny house with the red brick is actually the narrowest house in NYC. 75 1/2 Bedford Street has been the home of Cary Grant, John Barrymore, and Edna St. Vincent Millay and is just 9 feet 6 inches wide. If you're in the market, it most recently sold for over $3 million.

Following the "treat yo self" mantra, we stopped at the very first Magnolia Bakery for a large slice of cake and to rest our worn out soles.

Are you exhausted yet? Cause we sure were. But we continued downtown to a place I've read about and have always wanted to visit. This is the Dream House.

It's a public meditation and art space that has been a secret spot in New York since 1993. If you're looking for an unusual place to collect your thoughts and get inspired, this is it!
