Dive Into DC's Newest Beach - National Building Museum, DC
This past weekend I split my time between the country and city! Washington DC's newest attraction is The BEACH at the National Building Museum. It's a 10,000 square foot space filled with over one million plastic balls! Basically it's an excuse for adults to jump into a giant ball pit like we used to as kids. One of my forever friends, Hallie, has recently moved to the DC area! So lucky for me, she was willing to join me and my brother for an afternoon adventure.
The stunning main hall was walled up and the hour long line wrapped all around it.
Once inside, there's a snack bar hosted by Union Kitchen, with lounge chairs and umbrellas for those who stay for the day!
The real fun, however, is jumping into the great pit!
It is shocking how easy it was to start to "drown"! We got stuck more than a few times!
If you're in the DC area this summer, be sure to check it out! The exhibition will be there until September! It's a great way to unwind and feel like a kid again!
The previous night I joined the family for a night of twilight polo out at Great Meadow Polo Club in The Plains, Virginia. Here are a few pics of the action!
A truly great summer weekend with family and friends!
